The Lyme Regis Museum Research Team (all volunteers) was created in 2009 primarily to take over answering the enquiries on the local history of the area that were regularly received by the Museum. Its main area of interest is Lyme Regis and Uplyme and to a lesser extent Charmouth, Rousdon and Combpyne.

It was clear from the beginning that the team’s research should be pro-active and not only enquiry-led. A database (Research Team’s Digital Archive) was set up to store the work of the team and provide an important reference source.

Thanks to a generous legacy from former team member Derek Perrey,  information from the archive is now being made available on this website.
